About Bujua

Bujua means “to explain” in Assamese. It is async video, priced fairly, from a small independent studio.

The name

Bujua comes from the Assamese word বুজোৱা, which means to explain, to make someone understand. That is the whole job of the product: you explain something once, on video, and the other person understands it on their own time.

In the logo, the dot on the j is a recording light. It is the only red in the brand. More on the logo, colors and type on the brand page.

Why we built it

Async video should be the cheapest way to explain something. Instead, it became another per-seat bill that grows every time a team grows, with the useful parts, like summaries, behind a higher tier.

Bujua charges for the people who record and nothing else. Transcripts, summaries and chapters are on every plan. The people you send videos to never need an account.

Who makes it

Bujua is built by an independent software studio in Jorhat, Assam, in the northeast of India. We are small on purpose: no outside investors, no growth targets that need your data, and a product that has to pay for itself.

How it’s built

The whole service runs on Cloudflare’s network, which keeps videos close to the people watching them and our costs low enough to price the way we do. Videos are stored once and served from the nearest location, with no bandwidth bill to pass on to you.

What we won’t do

  • Sell or share your data.
  • Train AI models on your videos.
  • Charge for people who only watch.
  • Hide the price behind a sales call for teams of 10 or fewer.

Contact

Messages go to hello@bujua.com, and a person reads every one.

Your next explanation could be a two minute video.

The first one needs no account and no install, and the link is ready when recording stops.
